Ryan Conrad

Ryan M. Conrad is a visiting fellow in the Center on Health Policy at the Brookings Institution. His research examines prescription drug policy and market dynamics, including competition, shortages, and access to care. Previously, he served for over a decade at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, most recently as a senior economist in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, where he led research programs on the economics of generic drug markets and the Hatch-Waxman Act. He has also held positions as a visiting scholar at the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics and as a postdoctoral fellow in health services research at UCLA and RAND. Ryan earned his Ph.D. in economics from the City University of New York and his B.A. in mathematics from Case Western Reserve University.
